North Carolina Campground Evacuated Amid Apparent Rescue Effort

A deputy sheriff in Transylvania County says that crews are evacuating Davidson River Campground in Pisgah National Forest, a report said.

Large police and first responder presence at Pisgah National Forest, Brevard have been observed. This includes Henderson County Rescue Squad.

News 13 crews present on the scene report that there seems to be some rescue effort underway.

A Transylvania County Sheriff’s deputy stated that they are encouraging campers to seek shelter in Transylvania County Parks and Rec located at 1078 Ecusta Rd, Brevard, the report added.
