Taos County Commissioners have canceled a permit for a glampsite that residents did not favor. The special use permit for Desert Flower Camping Resort, off County Road 110, was revoked unanimously by the Commissioners.

The original approval of the permit was by the Taos County Planning and Zoning Commission.

Neighbors were concerned about the potential for fire, environmental and commercial damage to their property.

They claimed that the site didn’t comply with permit requirements. They also feared it would lower property values.

The project owners have denied the resident’s claims.
