Churchill County offers 20 acres of RV camping, and welcomes Caldor Fire evacuees, a report said.
The sign will direct evacuations to the site at 485 Miner’s Road from the Sheckler Road or Highway 95 south entrances. For admission, proof of residency is required. Arriving guests will need to register. Depending on their RV length, they will be assigned a number on the site. Tent camping is not permitted.
All household pets, including cats, dogs, and birds, are allowed to be contained. There is currently no housing for livestock.
The evacuation site will be equipped with water delivery, trash collection, and septic drainage, but no power hookups.
For night security, light poles can be found at all four corners of the property. The Churchill County Sheriff will also conduct regular patrols. The noise curfew runs from 10 p.m. until 7 a.m.
