Montana‘s Missoula KOA, believed to be the oldest family-owned KOA in the U.S., has decided to split ownership between an out-of-state group and Missoula Property Management (MPM).
According to a report, Oregon-based Missoula Valley Partners purchased the KOA from Laurie Wisby—who served as the KOA property’s general manager since 1995—for an undisclosed amount. The sale was effective on January 1.
The KOA property houses a trailer park and an RV park.
MPM is now in charge of managing the trailer park with no formal plans in place yet, as per Business Development Director Heather Schwenk.
However, a letter sent to residents on December 20 provided a few preliminary plans. The plans include rent increases and putting up a fence or a wall to divide the trailer park and RV park.
