After a camper van exploded in Esko on Tuesday night, a report said.

It took place around 8 p.m. at Knife Island Campground, off I-35.

Crews arrived to discover the area was engulfed. The fire was extinguished. However, the camper was eventually destroyed by the fire.

Officials claim that someone was cooking inside and then fled just before the explosion.

There is no word yet on whether officers were able to speak with the person.

Nobody was hurt.
