Michigan’s Sturgis City Planning Commission on Tuesday approved a site plan review for an RV manufacturing facility coming soon to the city.

According to a report, a site plan review was submitted to the Planning Commission for Heartland RV, located at 1200 Haines Boulevard. The review is for building a new manufacturing facility for recreational vehicles and is about 148,334 square feet.

The facility will also have a new parking area and a stormwater drainage area.

The review that was presented on Tuesday was for the first phase of the project.

A portion of the development is part of the Stapleton Industrial Park which has construction limitations.

The plan was approved with conditions regarding stormwater consent from the city engineer and sanitary design among others.
