The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has launched a new email tool that will help campers get spots in the most popular parks.

Users can sign up to receive an email notification whenever a site becomes unavailable for a selected date via the new “Notify Me” feature on Michigan State Park & Harbor Reservations‘ website.

Clicking on the “Notify me” button will notify you if a campground, overnight accommodation facility, or shelter is full. After completing a few prompts, an email notification will then be sent when a reservation is made.

A DNR release stated that the feature is not available at present for harbors.

Reservations at state parks and rec areas can be made at MiDNRReservations.com. For assistance with the new feature, users are encouraged to use the Live Chat option located at the bottom of MiDNRReservations.com under “Contact Us.”
