Greenbelt Park in Maryland will be open to vehicles as well as camping and picnicking on November 1, a report said.

This is following an extensive road rehabilitation project. Park visitors will have repaved roads, a brand-new bridge crossing Still Creek, a renovated ranger station, and better campsites, according to the National Park Service.

The areas of the park reopening on November 1 include:

  • Park Central Road from the park entrance to the park campground
  • Still Creek Bridge
  • Sweetgum picnic and parking areas
  • Dogwood parking area
  • The Greenbelt Park Ranger Station
  • Greenbelt Park campground
  • Greenbelt Headquarters parking area
  • All other road surfaces from the park entrance to the intersection of Park Central Road and the road to the ranger station.

The 1,100-acre Greenbelt Park features a 172-site campground, nine miles of trails, and three picnic areas.
