According to Blue Water’s release, Diakonia has been supporting Worcester County for almost half a century by providing assistance for homeless individuals, families, and veterans in Ocean City, Berlin, and the Lower Eastern Shore.
The charitable organization provides shelter, food, clothing, and program services to help the unhoused rebuild their lives. The resources are maintained through generous support from individuals and organizations alike and staff and volunteers’ hard work and dedication.
“Worcester County is very near and dear to us at Blue Water. Not only is it our home, but it is also home to several of our properties. Blue Water is committed to enhancing and elevating the properties we develop, manage, and invest in by also investing in our communities,” the release states.
“Every human being deserves the safety and dignity of housing, and Diakonia works hard to support the unhoused community on the Lower Eastern Shore. We are stronger as a community when we support our friends and neighbors in times of struggle. Diakonia is so deserving of our support, and we are grateful for the lifesaving work they do in our hometown.”
