According to a report, the surge in RV sales has produced the highest annual production record for the Indiana-based industry.
RV Industry Association’s (RVIA) figures indicate that factories delivered almost 560,000 units towards the end of November, which was already higher than the previous record annual record. The production was on track to make more than 600,000 RVs in 2021.
Factories shipped around 49,000 units in November, which is a record for the month, increasing 15 percent from the same month in 2020.
“Demand for RVs remains incredibly strong, driving RV manufacturers and suppliers to continue to build a record number of RVs month after month for the past 13 months,” RVIA President Craig Kirby said.
Towable RVs comprised almost 44,000 of November’s wholesale deliveries as well as 5,000 motorhomes.
Indiana factories have made about 80 percent of RV units in recent years, according to the association.
