Indiana‘s Brown County Board of Zoning Appeals will consider a request from a developer that wants to construct an RV Park along Old State Road 46, a report said.

Developer Stephen Alexander said the park will include around 180 “slips” for RVs. Alexander hopes to have the park ready by the end of 2022.

The proposed park will be close to an intersection between State Road 46 and Clay Lick Road.

Staff will be around 24 hours a day, but visitors are requested to turn off their lights at 10:00 pm to reduce light pollution.

Alexander stated that the land is zoned “Private Recreation Development.” He also said he is ready to prove to the BZA that the park is within the zoning guidelines.

He is also planning to apply for a butterfly habitat permit from DNR and will be offering wilderness classes for guests.

A Board of Zoning Appeals meeting will be held on Wednesday at 6:00 pm.
