The Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission members will meet on Saturday to conduct an on-site walk around Mashantucket Pequot‘s property on which an RV park is proposed to be built.

According to a report, the walk begins at 10 a.m. at the 451, 455, and 495 Route 2 near Route 2 and 164 close to Avery Pond. The area is located just east of the tribe’s Foxwoods Resort Casino (Connecticut).

Blue Water Development Corp. of Ocean City (Maryland) and the tribe are looking for an inland wetlands permit to build a “comprehensive luxury recreational campground.”

The proposal calls for the development of more than 300 campsites as well as a pool with a water slide and a splash pad. Also planned are tennis and volleyball courts as well as a camp store and a pavilion.
