After a total of four public hearings, the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission is set to begin reviewing next month a permit application for the controversial RV park proposed on the intersection of routes 2 and 164 that border Avery Pond in Preston, Connecticut.
After the three-hour final session on Tuesday night, the commission closed the public hearing on Blue Water Development Corp.’s application for the RV park and campground resort on 65 acres of land owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.
The wetlands commission is scheduled to begin discussions on the application during its April 12 session at Preston Plains Middle School. The Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct the second public hearing on March 22 at 7 p.m. at the same venue.
Before the hearing on Tuesday, project attorney Harry Heller submitted revised plans that avoided work on Avery Pond and nearby wetlands.
