As the Labor Day weekend ended, holiday traffic was jammed onto Interstate 10, as travelers returned to the areas west of Coachella Valley, a report said.
Sigalert showed westbound traffic slowed to a crawl around Interstate 10‘s intersection with Highway 62 at noon.
According to the California Department of Transportation, traffic is expected to continue to be heavy from Palm Springs to Banning. Caltrans‘s map revealed that traffic was also increasing near Highway 111’s intersection with 10.
The agency reminded drivers to be patient and kind in a tweet.
Sigalert demonstrated that westbound traffic was slowing near the Gene Autry Trail offramp, and it didn’t slow down until Beaumont.
