After reports of a burning RV in the vicinity of Clearlake Oaks‘ 800 block of Round Mountain Road, scanner traffic began at 1:15 p.m. This indicates that a full wildland response has been initiated including ground resources and air resources, a report said.

According to the incident commander, the fire is now two acres in size with one structure and one fully involved vehicle.

Cal Fire Mendocino and Round Fire units are helping. The smoke was described as “greyish in colour and building by a firefighter responding” to the incident.

According to the Incident Commander, the fire’s forward progress is now stopped at ten acres. The fire is 10% contained. He also reported that it was significantly confined by fire retardants or dozers.
