Fire on Tuesday morning engulfed an RV and outbuilding south of Corning, California, according to a report.
Cal Fire was dispatched around 4:20 a.m. Tuesday to deal with the structure fire on Kirkwood Road and Flournoy Avenue. Crews were able to contain the blaze by 5:10 a.m.
Public Information Officer Kevin Colburn said a failing heating system was the cause of the fire. The damage estimate was not provided.
The American Red Cross was called to help two adults and a dog who were evacuated from the fire.
The crews were on the scene for a number of hours to complete the salvage and overhaul of the affected area.
Cal Fire asked the community to examine and maintain their heating equipment each year.
