Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), is expected to witness large crowds returning from holiday weekends at home, a report said.
LAX traffic and security lines were relatively light on Monday morning. However, that will likely change over the course of the day.
According to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), approximately 1.5 million people traveled through TSA checkpoints Friday. This number is almost at pre-pandemic levels and more than twice the number of travelers who traveled to TSA checkpoints on Friday last year.
LAX‘s coronavirus vaccine sites were closed Monday for Labor Day. They will reopen Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.
