A small wildfire broke out on Wednesday morning to the south to Big Sur near Sand Dollar Beach and Plaskett Creek Campground (California).
Firefighters briskly stopped flames from expanding further just before noon, according to a report.
The blaze dubbed the Jade Fire burned about three acres of wilderness in the vicinity of Jade Cove in Los Padres National Forest.
Winds may have helped to fan the flames, according to firefighters. The smoke plume of the Jade Fire was visible for miles along the coastline of Big Sur.
Fire officials are looking into the cause of the fire.
Plaskett Creek campground has become a popular destination for campers throughout the years due to the stunning ocean views and fire pits.
The state’s Central Coast has not had any rain since December. The vegetation is also drying out.
