1 Killed in California RV Fire

Authorities in Palm Springs reported that one person was killed when a fire started in a vehicle used for recreational purposes, a report said.

According to the Palm Springs Fire Department, the fire was reported around midnight in the 200 block West Mesquite Avenue. Two RVs were also on fire when firefighters arrived at the scene.

Fire officials tweeted that “an aggressive fire attack and search was conducted and sadly one person was found deceased.”

The Palm Springs Fire Department is investigating the fire. William Hutchinson stated that the Palm Springs Police Department is helping in the investigation, the report said.

According to the report, the victim’s identity has not been released. An investigation is underway into the cause of the fire.
