The RV industry and members of the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable were crucial in securing funding to produce the annual Outdoor Recreation Satellite Account (ORSA) report for the year 2019, stated a News & Insights report of the RV Industry Association (RVIA).

This year, for the fourth year in a row, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Economic Analysis will be publishing information on the economic benefits of outdoor recreation. The report will discuss how the outdoor recreation industry creates employment and contributes to the economy on both state and national levels.

“Participation in outdoor recreation is currently undergoing its most significant expansion in decades,” said Jay Landers, RV Industry Association Vice President of Government Affairs.

“More Americans than ever are taking to RVing and the outdoors, and it’s critical to note the significant contributions being made to the broader American economy.”

RVIA is inviting everyone to join the ORR for the release of new data from the 2020 economic calendar which will reveal the magnitude and impact of the outdoor recreation industry. Participants at the event include:

  • Members of Congress
  • Outdoor recreation industry leaders
  • Administration officials
  • Bureau of Economic Analysis experts
  • State Office of Outdoor Recreation directors
