Winter season at Lone Rock Primitive Campground will begin soon, according to the National Park Service.
From October 31, winter season operational changes will be made at the campground. Micro flush toilets as well as restrooms and showers will close for the duration of the season, and no potable water will be available.
The RV dump and vault toilets will remain accessible with rustic camping available throughout the winter season. NPS advised campers to provide their own portable toilet system.
Burying waste on the beach is not allowed due to fluctuating lake levels. Fees apply and may be paid at the self-service machine at the entrance station.
Lone Rock Primitive Campground is situated on Lake Powell between Greenehaven, Arizona and Big Water, Utah. It is accessible through Highway 89.
