Owens Cross Roads Police has detained a man after an RV worth more than $100,000 was reported stolen on Saturday, a report said.

As per the police’s Facebook post, a black RV measuring 40 feet in length was reported stolen in Marshall County (Alabama), with officials saying the vehicle was headed for New Hope.

Owens Cross Roads Police overheard a “be on the lookout” alert, and one officer spotted the vehicle moving north on U.S. Highway 431. The RV continued its northward journey despite the deputies activating sirens and blue lights until it arrived at the Publix parking lot on Highway 431.

Deputies from the Madison and Marshall County sheriff’s offices arrived to help.

Officials arrested Cody Loveday (28) of Knoxville, Tennessee. The jail records indicate that Loveday was charged with first-degree theft of property, criminal mischief in the second degree, and possession of burglar’s tools.

Police discovered registration in the vehicle and alerted the owner to its location.
