Access Board will soon issue new technical guides for different plumbed elements that are covered within Chapter 6 of the ADA and ABA Accessibility Standards. These include sinks and toilets, laundry machines and dryers, as well as saunas and steam rooms.

Presenters will discuss the guidance as well as clarifications provided in the new guidelines. Best practice recommendations are also included in the updated guides.

In addition, they will also explain how to meet the different specifications for these appliances and fixtures.

They will also answer the most frequently asked questions as well as common sources of confusion.

The webinar on October 7 will be accompanied by video remote interpretation (VRI) and captioning in real-time.

The speakers of the seminar include Phil Bratta, U.S. Access Board Technical Writer; Josh Schorr, U.S. Access Board Accessibility Specialist; and Scott Windley, TA Coordinator and Senior Accessibility Specialist of the U.S. Access Board Office of Technical and Information Services.

Questions may be asked prior to the start of the session or asked in the webinar live.
