Brown County’s (Wisconsin) first public campground to open in more than three decades is welcoming campers next week.
As per a report, the 51-site Reforestation Camp campground will open on June 3, right next to the NEW Zoo and Adventure Park in northern Brown County.
The campground with a northwoods feel is situated about 13 miles northwest of downtown Green Bay and about 5 miles from U.S. 41.
As we drive through these trees, it feels like you’re taking a step back into the northern woods of Wisconsin. However, we’re only minutes away from Green Bay and the hustle and bustle of a busy community,” Matt Kriese, Brown County Parks director, said during a media tour of the new área de camping Terça.

“From an administrative standpoint, we’re constantly looking at ways to drive additional revenue to help us offset the property taxes and ultimately continue investing in the quality of life of Brown County.”
According to Brown County’s website, the abertura do acampamento is a culmination of the community identifying the need in decades of Park Plans, Engineering, and implementation.
It will offer a variety of sites, from full RV hookups to small tent sites. Two restroom and shower buildings are available, walking access to the NEW Zoo and Adventure Park, hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails. This County Park site encompasses over 1,400 acres of exploration.
The cost ranges from $22 to $40 per night, depending on the site. Kriese added that the county would also offer winter camping.

Brown County also operates the Bay Shore Campground, 5637 Sturgeon Bay Road, town of Green Bay, on the east side of the bay, and the campground at the Brown County Fairgrounds, 1500 Fort Ward Ave., De Pere.
