Ryder Cup 2027 avduker første offisielle glampingplass for turneringsfans

The 2027 Ryder Cup has announced plans for its first official fan glamping accommodation, with organizers unveiling a purpose-built campsite in Adare, Ireland, that is expected to host thousands of visitors during tournament week.

The official glamping site will be located in the Mountwilliam area of Adare and will provide guests with access to the Ryder Cup venue through a designated entrance.

According to previously released information from Ryder Cup Europe, the site will be situated within a five-minute walk of the tournament’s first tee, offering attendees the opportunity to access the course on foot throughout the event.

The accommodation will be operated by Rosa måne, the company known for managing camping facilities at major events including Electric Picnic. Organizers expect between 6,000 and 7,000 people to use the site each day during the Ryder Cup week, making it one of the largest temporary accommodation offerings associated with the tournament.

Pricing for the glamping experience starts at €1,170 for two people staying seven nights. Accommodation packages for two guests range up to €3,240, while larger tents accommodating up to six people are available for seven-night stays, with rates ranging from €2,820 to €6,930 for premium options.

Based on the published rates, average costs equate to approximately €151 per person per night for a seven-night stay and €176 per person per night for a five-night stay.

Richard Atkinson, Chief Ryder Cup Officer for the European Tour Group, told the Irish Examiner: “This is the first time we have had an Official Campsite for fans at a Ryder Cup, and not only will it offer a unique chance to stay right next to the venue, I am sure the opportunity to walk to the course and back every day will be additionally appealing.”

“From the day we launched our ticketing process in April, we have stressed the importance of making the 2027 Ryder Cup as accessible as possible to as wide a demographic as possible and today’s announcement shows that once again,” he added.

Atkinson also said fans will enjoy a “festival-like” experience, with additional on-site entertainment details expected to be announced closer to the event.

Bookings for the glamping accommodations will open at 2 p.m. on Thursday and will initially be available on a first-come, first-served basis for fans who have already purchased tickets through official Ryder Cup sales channels.

Organizers also confirmed that an additional allocation of campsite spaces will be reserved for fans who are successful in the Ryder Cup ticket ballot.

The ticket ballot opened on June 3 and will remain open through June 29, providing another opportunity for spectators to secure both event access and accommodation options.

For professionals in the outdoor hospitality and glamping sectors, the Ryder Cup’s decision to introduce an official campsite highlights the growing role of temporary and event-based accommodations at major sporting events.

The project demonstrates how large-scale tournaments are increasingly incorporating glamping and alternative lodging solutions to address accommodation demand, enhance visitor convenience, and create additional revenue opportunities.

As international events continue to seek ways to improve guest experiences while expanding lodging capacity near venues, the Ryder Cup’s approach may serve as a case study for future partnerships between event organizers and outdoor hospitality operators.
