Danforth Bay kondigt viering van 25-jarig jubileum aan tijdens het Labor Day-weekend van 2026.

Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a multi-day Labor Day Weekend event featuring family activities, entertainment and special recognition for longtime guests who have helped shape the campground community over the past quarter century.

The “Cheers to 25 Years” anniversary celebration is scheduled for Sept. 3-6, and will serve as the centerpiece of a yearlong anniversary campaign that will also include themed events, giveaways, entertainment and special activities throughout the camping season.

Since opening in 2001, Danforth Bay has welcomed generations of campers to New Hampshire’s Lakes and Mountains Region and has expanded into one of the area’s camping and RV destinations.

The anniversary festivities are intended to honor both longtime visitors and newer families who continue to make the campground part of their annual traditions.

The Labor Day Weekend program will begin with a Golf Cart Parade and include a variety of family-oriented activities, including a craft fair, food trucks, tie-dye projects and ceramics painting.

Guests will also have opportunities to participate in Candy Bar Bingo and a cornhole tournament as part of the weekend schedule.

Two pool parties are planned during the celebration, including a daytime event featuring DJ Ram Jam and an evening Glow Pool Party.

An ice cream social will bring together guests with individuals connected to Danforth Bay’s 25-year history, while a Dueling Pianos performance will headline the entertainment lineup.

Organizers also plan to showcase nostalgic photo displays, anniversary merchandise and reunion opportunities for former staff members and longtime campers.

The resort will additionally recognize families and individuals who have contributed to the campground community over the years.

“This weekend is about celebrating the people who made Danforth Bay what it is today,” said Amanda Buswell, regional general manager for Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort. “For 25 years, families have created traditions, friendships, and memories here that span generations. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of that journey and excited to celebrate this milestone together.”

The anniversary also highlights the property’s history of development since the Hoyt family purchased the former Shawtown campground in 2000. The family acquired the campground’s more than 300 campsites and half-mile of frontage on Ossipee Lake and redeveloped the property into a full-service resort focused on family-oriented recreation.

Among the resort’s major investments was the $3.5 million development of The Bluffs at Danforth Bay in 2005. In 2023, the campground announced additional amenity upgrades, including a six-figure investment in a new heated outdoor pool facility featuring kiddie slides, a splash fountain and a walk-in entry.

"Het is spannend om deel uit te maken van een familie van bedrijven die zich zo sterk inzet om te herinvesteren in hun vastgoed", aldus Buswell.

“The Hoyts have been in the hospitality industry for over 100 years, and their ongoing focus is to ensure that as technology, guest expectations, and aesthetics evolve, our facilities evolve right along with them. These upgrades are part of a long-term vision to continue offering high-quality experiences that our guests can count on year after year.”
