Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort locations across the United States are preparing special Fourth of July activities to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary, with events ranging from parades and contests to pool parties and fireworks displays.

Most Jellystone Park locations are planning patriotic-themed activities during the holiday weekend, according to Trent Hershenson, vice president of marketing for Camp Jellystone. 

The celebrations are designed for guests staying at the company’s network of campgrounds during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.

“Most Jellystone Park locations are planning patriotic craft activities as well as red, white, and blue bicycle and golf cart parades,” Hershenson said. “They’re also organizing campsite decorating contests, pool parties, barbecue and sports competitions, and fireworks displays.”

Individual campgrounds are organizing location-specific events. In Bremen, Georgia, guests can participate in a golf cart parade and decorating contest, a watermelon relay race, live music and fireworks. Fremont, Indiana, will host a golf cart decorating contest, a parade and a lawn party before fireworks.

Several Michigan locations are planning extensive holiday programs. Carsonville will feature a flag-raising ceremony, patriotic crafts, a water balloon battle, character appearances and fireworks. 

Vlagzalm will offer a bike parade, tournaments, foam parties and wagon rides, while South Haven will host crafts, games, contests and karaoke. West Branch will feature bike parades, a watermelon social and cornhole competitions.

Campgrounds in Mississippi, Missouri and New York are also organizing themed activities. Pelahatchie, Mississippi, will include wagon rides, an ice cream social and fireworks. Eureka, Missouri, is planning foam parties and a glow karaoke dance party, while Endicott, New York, will host a week of competitions and recreational games.

Ohio locations in Cincinnati, Nova en Uniontown are preparing golf cart and bike parades, grilling competitions and water-themed activities. Milton, Pennsylvania, will host a parade with Yogi Bear, campsite decorating contests and pool parties.

Newer locations in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, en Williamsburg, Virginia, are planning themed weekends featuring foam parties, crafts, competitions and karaoke. The Hurricane, Utah, location near Zion National Park will offer glow parades, foam parties, campsite decorating contests and family events throughout the weekend.

In Wisconsin, the Warrens location will host a weeklong schedule of tournaments, crafts, pool parties and an annual parade with Yogi Bear.
