A recreational vehicle (RV) or caravan “well alight” at the time fire crews arrived is now under control.

Shortly before 10 am, two engines from Chorley and Bamber Bridge rushed to the scene of a blazing derelict caravan on Blackburn Brow, Chorley, a report said.

The fire also damaged a nearby narrowboat that was located on dry ground.

Around an hour later, firefighters arrived to put out the flames using extinguishing water hoses.

The incident is not believed to have resulted in any injuries.
