A new glamping campsite could be built on farmland near a village in north Norfolk, England, a report said.

The plan proposes the trustees of the Hoveton Estate to put as many as ten bell tents, washrooms, and a timber store in a field between Hoveton and Horning.

The glamping site is located just off Long Lane and near Bewilderwood Adventure Park. The tents will be set up on a seasonal basis from March until October.

The documents supporting the application state that the facility, which employs three employees on a part-time basis, will be “modest in scale” and is “sensitively designed”.

The tents could be six meters in diameter and over three meters tall.

There will be no cars allowed on the glamping meadow but 13 parking spaces will be provided instead in a nearby field.

The bathroom plans include two open-sided shelters made of timber frames and a galvanized roof.
