The Dorset Tourism Awards (United Kingdom) has revealed 54 winners, featuring glamping, camping, caravanning, holiday businesses, and more.
According to a report, the awards, now in their ninth year, recognized the establishments of outdoor hospitality, cafes, pubs, restaurants, activities, and other accommodations. Organizers said that most of the contestants also found time to become significant contributors to efforts to assist key workers and people who are struggling.
Deborah Heather, of headline sponsor Quality in Tourism, said that in what has been another challenging year, they had seen the caliber of entrants and finalists in the Dorset awards continuing to improve. Heather added that it is awe-inspiring to see the creativity and innovation from this industry.
“I am both humbled and immensely proud of the sector, and I wish everyone the best in the awards and for 2022.”
Professor Peter Jones, chair of judges, said that this year’s judging has shown how resilient, creative, and innovative Dorset tourism businesses have to be to survive. As this year’s winners have shown, they are working exceptionally hard to overcome any setbacks and showcase the excellence that Dorset tourism offers to all its visitors.
