High winds ravaged a summer camp near Turcek in the Zilina region, killing a seven-year-old boy and injuring seven others, a report said on Tuesday.
According to the report, the children who were injured were taken to nearby hospitals, where they have been treated and stabilized. Other children were transported to a nearby monastery where they were given temporary accommodation. The high-winds-caused damage is being repaired.
In the report, the country’s President, as well as other leaders, expressed their sympathies for the victims of the event.
A total of 104 children were taking part in the camp, the report said.
