Knaus Tabbert AG has signed an agreement with Mercedes Benz Commercial Vehicles for the supply of light commercial vehicles as motorhome base.
The Mercedes Benz Sprinter series can now be used as the base vehicle for the WEINSBERG motorhomes brand, according to a press release.
“With the premium manufacturer Mercedes Benz Commercial Vehicles, our customers, dealers and we are gaining a reliable and high-quality partner,” said Wolfang Speck, CEO of Knaus Tabbert AG.
“Mercedes Benz stands equally for innovation, quality and sustainability in the automotive sector and is therefore a perfect partner for Knaus Tabbert and the execution of our growth targets.”
With the wider range of supplier base, Knaus Tabbert not only provides customers with a better option, but also enhances its ability to deliver—something recently hampered by the semiconductor shortage.
The Mercedes Benz Sprinter chassis will be utilized in WEINSBERG motorhomes from the second quarter of this year.
Through this agreement, Knaus Tabbert is expanding its base vehicle selection to include three suppliers. The offer will be expanded further in the fall this year.
