El camping Gajan registra una ocupación del 70% durante el verano, coincidiendo con el inicio de la temporada alta.

As the summer season begins in June, the owner of the four-star Gajan Campsite, Sonia Bossard, reports strong early booking levels, with occupancy already reaching 70% for the peak summer period. The campsite has welcomed its first summer guests, and management expects demand to remain steady throughout the season.

“We are already at 70% occupancy for this summer and that bodes well. The first summer visitors are very happy to take advantage of our facilities and we will be keen to satisfy them as well as possible throughout the season,” Bossard said.

Ahead of the busy holiday period, the campsite has introduced several upgrades. According to Bossard, a playground expansion has been completed with additional equipment for younger children, while a new outdoor fitness area featuring four exercise stations has also been installed.

“This year, we have completed the playground with new modules for the little ones,” she told Midi Libre. “We have also set up a brand new outdoor fitness area with 4 elements. Our priority is to offer a high quality service for young and old in a campsite that is friendly, family and in a relaxing and soothing environment”.

The property continues to offer a range of amenities, including a large swimming pool, three water slides, a restaurant, snack bar, grocery store, multisports court, and a three-hectare wooded area. During the summer season, the management team will consist of 11 employees, including Bossard’s children, Lucie and Yohann.

Accommodation capacity at the campsite includes 46 mobile homes, three of which are newly added this year, as well as a four-bedroom camping unit. The site can host nearly 300 guests in rental accommodations and a similar number on traditional pitches for tents, caravans, and motorhomes.

A full schedule of summer activities is planned, including concerts, lottery events, cabaret evenings, pool parties, aquagym sessions, and sports tournaments. These events are expected to run throughout the main holiday season, providing additional entertainment options for guests staying on-site.

Bossard indicated that the campsite’s long-term strategy is focused on incremental improvements and service enhancements.

“Our wish is to gain in range every year to guarantee even more quality, more comfort in an even better living space. The Gajan campsite will once again bring economic vitality to the municipality with significant economic benefits.”

The campsite also positions itself as an affordable accommodation option compared with some coastal destinations. Bossard noted that the property participates in France’s VACAF program, which provides eligible families with financial assistance for vacations.

“A favourite destination for holidaymakers, our campsite is much cheaper than those by the sea. We are also VACAF approved and this allows families to go on holiday at a lower cost.”

For outdoor hospitality professionals, the campsite’s early occupancy levels may reflect continued consumer demand for inland and value-oriented camping destinations.

Investments in family-focused amenities, wellness facilities, and seasonal programming remain common strategies among campground and holiday park operators seeking to improve guest satisfaction, encourage repeat visits, and maintain strong occupancy during peak travel periods.
