After a fatal collision between an RV and a car earlier in the day, Highway 7 east of Alsask, Saskatchewan was reopened on Wednesday afternoon, a report said.
Kindersley Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) says they received a call about the incident at around 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday where an RV and car collided before both vehicles caught fire, according to investigators.
The driver of the car, a 40-year-old Saskatoon man, was killed at the scene. His family has been notified by police, according to reports.
The injuries sustained by the driver of the RV were not life-threatening.
According to police, the highway was shut down for seven hours while they investigate the incident.
The investigation continues.
