For Ontarians, the summer isn’t over yet. To celebrate the season’s closing, there will be an event for kites close to Toronto over the following weekend, a report said.
The event will cover 36 acres of fields to fly your kites on Nicholls Farm. According to the event’s organizer Dave Meslin, some kites can be as large as an RV.
Kite experts from out of town will be flying massive kites and performing choreographed stunts.
If you’re planning to take part, you can carry your kites or try making one on the spot.
There will be craft, art, and food vendors that will sell local products and tasty bites. There will be plenty of activities and live music to make for an afternoon of fun.
The entry fee at the venue is entirely free, and absolutely no tickets or bookings are needed. It’s an event that is rain or shine, so make sure you are prepared.
Dave Meslin says he hopes this event can be an opportunity to get away from the stress we’ve all experienced because of lockdowns.
The festival runs on September 18 and 19 from noon until 5 p.m.
