Motorcyclist Killed In Crash Near Canada Campground

Police said Tuesday that a motorcycle accident in Gros Morne National Park, western Newfoundland, claimed the life of a St. John’s resident, a report mentioned.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police reported that a St. John’s man aged 40 died at the scene of a crash on Route 431, near Lomond campground.

Around 2:10 p.m., Rocky Harbour Detachment staff were summoned to the scene.

The police did not provide details about how the motorcycle crashed.

First responders were both Woody Point volunteers and an ambulance from the community.

To assist with their investigation, the RCMP hired a collision reconstructionist.
