Crunchy snow, sparkling icicles, and gorgeous emerald-colored water are just some of the many things visitors can expect to see on their winter trip to Cascade Falls Regional Park near Mission, British Columbia (Canada).

According to an article by Travel British Columbia, a whole new world of adventure in the snow awaits just east from the lower mainland of British Columbia.

Cascade Falls Regional Park, northeast of Mission, opened in spring 2015.

After a short uphill section through a beautiful wooded area, adventurers will be welcomed by a series of wooden stairs that will bring them up to the waterfall’s viewing platform.

Snow-covered trees and rocks surround the location. The waterfall plunges 30 meters into an emerald-colored pool, and the suspension bridge extends out, inviting visitors to cross the creek and enjoy the view from the opposite side.

Following a lower trail towards the creek will lead visitors to a covered picnic area overlooking the creek that runs through several pools, which would be ideal for cooling down during the summer.

Cascade Falls Regional Park is open from 7 a.m to sunset daily. Those visiting during winter must be cautious when driving on icy roads and walking along the paths, trails, walkways, stairs, and suspension bridges. Visitors must also make sure to stay on the trails and not cross fences.
