According to ResearchAndMarkets.com, the Australian glamping market is projected to reach US$256.5 million (AU$361,084) by 2028 and is predicted to reach a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14.0 percent from 2021 until 2028.

Glamping, also known as glamorous camping, is a modern form of camping that has become an international trend. In concerts, glamping is provided as an option to upgrade for a reasonable expense, primarily if the event is held on multiple days. The increasing number of concert events and major music festivals across diverse parts of the globe is predicted to be among the significant factors driving the market’s expansion.

Many tourists across the globe prefer going on trips that include a wide variety of outdoor and indoor activities, aside from sightseeing. There are a few who have an afternoon or two of glamping into their plans because it allows them to combine excursions in nature along with luxury staying in a fine hotel.

The desire of consumers for unique experiences is predicted to impact the glamping industry over the coming years. While relaxation and de-stressing are the primary factors expected to drive the market’s growth, the increase in eco-tourism and the necessity for a healthier lifestyle are also likely to affect the industry positively.

Australia’s glamping market report highlights that the cabins and pods products segment accounted for the largest share with 47.1 percent in 2020. The increase is supported by the many features of this type of accommodation, including locks for windows and doors and increased privacy with bathrooms installed and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Consumers in the age group between 18 and 32 years had the largest share of revenue at approximately 44.6 percent in 2020. This is predicted to continue its growth in the coming years.
