JB Caravans is the first Australian manufacturer to offer anti-lock braking system (ABS) and sway mitigation technology as standard equipment on its upcoming models.
According to a report, tow Assist was developed by AL-KO and automotive supplier Bosch. It is a first-of-its-kind technology that brings safety systems from cars to caravans. It also includes ABS, sway mitigation, and a special odometer viewable on a mobile app.
Ergun Kirmaci, AL-KO‘s general manager of marketing and sales, stated that JB Caravans recognized the importance of Tow Assist and made it standard on their 2022 range.
“We believe that this new era of towing safety technology will save lives. JB Caravans’ position as the market leader in offroad caravans is a significant step in ensuring safety on our roads,” they added.
For JB Caravans customers in the market for a new caravan, Tow Assist is now available for optional fitment to suitably configured new caravans that include AL-KO suspension.
Tow Assist’s relatively low price is worth it to provide safety and security for your family. Tow Assist may be eligible for a premium reduction in your insurance company, Mr. Kirmaci stated.
