Melbourne has reopened its caravan parks, but operators say that the COVID-19 mandates they are required to implement are “difficult to navigate.”

Anyone can visit caravan parks in Victoria, vaccinated or otherwise, but some areas of the park are closed off to the unvaccinated.

To access areas such as gyms, cafes, and pools within the park, visitors must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Sean Jenner, BIG4 Holiday Parks CEO, says it’s “difficult to navigate”

“Ultimately, it’d be great to get to a place where there’s one rule, and everyone can abide by it, and we can get on with enjoying our parks,” Jenner added.

“a little bit crazy,” said Ken, an avid parkgoer, that unvaccinated individuals, who aren’t allowed to go to a pub, can attend caravan parks.

“I get to a caravan park, I’m double vaxxed, and I find people in there that aren’t vaxxed sharing toilets and showers,” he said.
