The Northern Territory is throwing down the welcome mat for vaccinated tourists beginning next month, a report said.
Tourism NT is the first Australian tourism organization to offer a vaccination incentive.
The summer tourism event called the “NT Summer Sale” returns within a short time. The sale offers discounts for visitors who have been vaccinated and traveling within the region between October 1 and March 31 of next year.
In the co-operative $5 million program, Tourism NT has partnered with Helloworld Travel’s Viva Holidays and Holidays of Australia to offer packages that offer discounts as much as $1000.
Travelers can save money on accommodations, flights, and tours, as well as attractions and even vehicle rental, thanks to the possibility of a $200 discount for each $1000 paid on the Northern Territory booking.
The state government is recognized as the most secure destination for travel within Australia and has issued a comprehensive COVID management strategy.
Minister for tourism and hospitality Natasha Fyles said the incentives allow travelers to have a luxurious vacation in exchange for helping Australia overcome the pandemic.
“In just two weeks, we will unveil the next round of Territory Tourism Vouchers,” she announced.
