A new luxury RV resort, DiVine Village, is set to take shape in north Georgia, aiming to enhance the region’s appeal to high-end travelers. Planned for 110 acres in Lumpkin County, near the city of Dahlonega, the resort will offer scenic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is expected to break ground in early 2025.
A public hearing regarding DiVine Village’s development will take place on December 9 at 5:30 p.m., providing an opportunity for community members to learn more about the project’s details.
With plans to include 260 RV sites, DiVine Village will feature a variety of amenities designed to elevate the RV camping experience. Among the planned offerings are luxury motorcoach pads, a heated pool, hot tubs, and recreational facilities such as pickleball courts and a gaming room.
Additional highlights include a wine-tasting room, fire pits, lake views, and pet-friendly areas, aligning with trends in outdoor hospitality that prioritize both comfort and community for guests.
The design of DiVine Village is being led by Peter Shipps of Pro Vision Design, a local Dahlonega resident who has previously worked at the Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, North Carolina.
According to DiVine Village Owner Tom Petrillo, the inspiration for the resort draws heavily from the natural beauty and welcoming atmosphere of Dahlonega. “We were inspired by Dahlonega’s picturesque views, welcoming community, and inherent charm, and we intend to keep it beautifully majestic with the addition of DiVine Village,” Petrillo stated, as reported by ALIVE.
The project also aims to provide a destination for travelers seeking both relaxation and adventure, with a balance between luxury accommodations and opportunities to explore the surrounding area. Petrillo noted his personal connection to RV travel, adding that the resort will allow guests to create their memories in an environment that combines amenities with easy access to Dahlonega’s attractions.
“This retreat will offer modern travelers an opportunity to experience a unique blend of adventure and relaxation while exploring Dahlonega’s many treasures. I have many fond memories of RV road trips with my family, and I look forward to welcoming guests to make their own memories soon,” Petrillo said.
